Andrew Lane was the first role model I got to meet in person. If I were to describe myself, as you can see, I was living meme- however the author seemed to like my chill behavior and invited me to partake in an escape room that was meant to be only for adult fans. It was then that I got the idea to meet in person every famous person I admire.
About “Alpha Omega”
Initially, I wanted the interviews to comprise a book. I knew from the very beginning what the title would be, but I didn’t see anyone getting excited when they heard it, even when I explained it to them. To avoid getting discouraged, I decided to temporarily use the indefinite “Alpha Omega”(A Z ), which, by the way, everyone found wonderful. However, time was never enough, and the completion of the book kept getting postponed until it rightfully earned the title: “The Book That Never Was.” Fortunately, something similar did not need to be said about the site.
Spelling errors or mistakes in grammar are there to ensure that no evil eye will fall upon the site. Let’s all be patient.
About Theodore Papakostas
Working on the interview of Th. Papakostas for the book “Alpha Omega” (A Z) that never happened.
About Dionysis Simopoulos
With pic collage, I created a collage with Simopoulos’ memories from his book ‘From Psilalonia to the Moon’ using a school astronomy book from ’67. I wanted to send it to him. I didn’t have time. It was together with all the scattered files on my desk, just as I left them before the holidays.
I gathered everything inside a box and on top of it I placed a “That’s all folks” sticker. I also added a screenshot I had on my phone from when I was doing research. At that time, Simopoulos was present.
About Charles Shay and another unknown hero
The signed autobiography of C. Shay “Project Omaha Beach” together with my grandfather’s Medal of Valor for World War II.
The exceptional Mrs. Marie-Pascale Legrand offered in 2007 to host Mr. Shay at her home in l’Orgueilleuse, a village in Normandy, near Omaha Beach, and as Mr. Shay said:
“This gives me the opportunity to visit the cemetery where I lost many friends who are in these graves. I can visit them now as often as I want.”
We communicated several times and she responded immediately with great kindness to whatever I asked from her. The least I can say is that I am grateful.
The most important and impressive thing is the lifestyle she has bestowed upon the hero. On IG, their everyday moments are enviable; such moments are what a magnificent person deserves.
In this caring environment, Mr. Shay celebrated his 100th birthday on June 27, 2024. He was also able to vote, even though at the time he was fighting in Normandy, he did not have this political right.
His mother was an activist and she didn’t want her children to fight in the war since they didn’t have the right to vote.
About Victor Yalom
Trying to come up with impressive questions, I read many incomprehensible books written by the mentors of the Yalom family. My 15 year old brain eventually reached a boiling point but I didn’t realize it at the time because the mild breeze of 40 degrees Celsius kept coming through the balcony door.
About Kim Phuc
Banksy’s “Napalm” and Adel Abdessemed’s “Cry” are amongst the most poignant artistic depictions of Kim Phuc.
About Arthur Conan Doyle and Sherlock
I didn’t get to meet my grandpa, but in one of my many investigations in the basement of my house, I discovered his pipes. I used to take them while reading Holmes to pretend I was him.
About Christian Tagliavini
The supplement magazine of the newspaper “Kathimerini” (14.02.16) with the tribute to Christian Tagliavini, who brought to life all the heroes of Jules Verne. I was such a fan that I put Vern’s signature over the photo of Tagliavini as confirmation.
Dame di Cartone made me believe that by just using a piece of paper I could become Tagliavini. Seeing what I produced for the needs of the school play “400 years of Shakespeare” was more tragic than the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet.
About Aspasia Papadoperaki
In the dining room of Aspasia Papadoperaki. I thought of taking photos when it was too late, so the grandeur of this table is not visible.
